Rauma Ryegarn, Norwegian Wool Rug Yarn, #544, Red

$17.00

Shipping to United States: $4.95

100% Rauma Ryegarn wool rug yarn from Norway. 2-ply 100 g hank = 82 yards. One hank is enough to create whipped edges of two (2)- 20" x 40" primitive rugs. This yarn has a unique and beautiful twist and adds premium strength to your rug edges. I try to keep neutral colors in stock, since those are the most used.

"Ryegarn" means rug yarn in Norwegian. This yarn is made in Norway and is made from a heritage variety of sheep called "spaelsau" which are raised on the west coast of Norway. The long staple length of the fiber makes for an exceptionally strong and lustrous yarns which means this yarn will hold up well on the edges of your rugs. Whipping with a single strand makes a perfect and smooth finish.

WSW refunds shipping overages if it will save you $2.00 or more.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you refund shipping overages and why does shipping seem so high?

I do refund shipping overages, if it will save you $2.00 or more. I will go ahead and refund the shipping overages. You don't even have to ask.
Shipping does not account for multiple items, which is why it can be very high...I will manually go in, when I package your item and refund you the overages on shipping. Hope this does not discourage you from ordering from Whistle Stop Wool. I will make the shipping right for you. No one wants to overpay for shipping, even me.

What does it mean when you say your wool is felted?

It means that I have washed the wool so it has shrunk. This tightens the fibers and helps prevent fraying for people that do wool appliqué and rug hooking. Think of the time your sweater was thrown in the dryer and it came out the size for a doll. So if you want wool that has not been felted, you can send me a custom request and I might have bolts that I have not washed all of the yardage.

Why does my wool look different than what I saw on my computer?

Computer monitors are just different in how they depict color. Know that there will be some differences. Please read the description of the item where I will also describe the color if necessary. If it is just horribly wrong, please contact me and I will make it right.
